This Eurogamer preview is quite thorough, and writer Emma Kent has both good and bad things to say about the game. In any case, I've read some hands-on impressions by E3 attendees (I didn't go it's really not my cup of tea) and they often come across somewhat mixed. It's not a knock against the actors, it's just that I don't always want my game characters to look just like the actors who voice them). (Imagine, for instance, if The Witcher games featured the face of Henry Cavill as Geralt rather than in-game model used by CD Projekt Red. Or maybe Cal just feels too generic at this point. I love Monaghan in both the aforementioned shows, but I find it a little distracting in the game. Cal Kestis is played by Shameless and Gotham star Cameron Monaghan, and I'm honestly not sure that casting such a recognizable face-and then modeling the character after it right down to the mop of red hair-is a great choice here.
